LifeLine Western Cape
I was lucky enough to have been introduced to the work of LifeLine a couple of years ago by one of their Councillors and then again by one of their staff members. This time I jumped at the opportunity to offer my services to this very valuable organisation. Planning started, and then lockdown happened, so we had to become creative and persistent. We were able to capture the whole board and create a group portrait, even though they were never in the same room.
Lifeline Western Cape are counsellors who provide support to people in emotional distress, and seek to empower them through non-directive, empathetic counselling.
Many people do not have a someone to lean on in their time of need and often this leads them to taking drastic measures to ease their pain.
Lifeline Western Cape was formed to provide that support to callers and clients facing a crisis in their lives. They offer a safe space for people to share what is happening in their lives and attempt to lighten the load as best they can.
